WHERE OUR CURRICULUM HAS GONE
Globally and Locally
ESCUELA HOMERO AYALA
Escuela Homero Ayala is a sister school of Canyon Crest Academy through the San Diego International Sister Cities Association. Envision Conservatory for the Humanities has been in collaboration with Escuela Homero Ayala since 2017 and it was the spring of 2019 when we visited the school to donate and perform our biology labs. Project Aquascope plans to collaborate with Escuela Homero Ayala in the near future to share with them our new lab curriculum and to connect with youth changemakers in Panama.

INDIAN CHURCH VILLAGE & SAN CARLOS PRIMARY SCHOOLS
The Indian Church Village and San Carlos Primary Schools are located in rural Belize. In Belize, public education ends after primary school (finished at age 13) requiring extra funds to attend higher education which many people do not have. We have been in collaboration with both of these schools to bring lab materials as well as our curriculum to their schools. Again, due to COVID-19 our plans will continue virtually.

FARO DE LUZ COMMUNITY CENTER
Faro de Luz is “a church and community center that supports vulnerable communities by giving them tools to improve their quality of life” located in Tijuana, Mexico. Collaboration with Casas de Luz, a NGO local to San Diego, has allowed us to create connections with Faro de Luz and their youth education program. Although, due to COVID-19 our physical travel to Faro de Luz has been postponed (outreach will be virtual).

PACIFIC TRAILS MIDDLE SCHOOL
Pacific Trails Middle School is our local middle school just minutes away from Canyon Crest Academy. We have performed our labs with and gotten feedback from Pacific Trails students. We rely on feedback from our students to create the most engaging curriculum possible!
